THE LATE MAJOR S. ROBERTSON.
The late Major Sydney Beresford Robertson, of Queensland, is well known to many South Australians, his father being the Rev. Joseph Robertson, who for many years was minister of Stow Congregational Church, Flinders-street, and about 10 years ago received a call to the Congregational Church at Ipswich, Queensland.
There are two brothers of the deceased major at the front — the Rev. Gordon Robertson, a chaplain, and Ross Robertson, who is a member of the Army Medical Corps which was sent from South Australia with the First Expeditionary Force.
Major Robertson was formerly employed in the electrical engineering department of the postal service. He was greatly interested in military training when in South Australia. The deceased, who was born in 1888, was a single man, and was studying for a law degree when he departed on active service.
