DEATH OF AN ADELAIDE SOLDIER.

Mr. G. W. Fordham, of Citizens' Buildings, has received a cable message from Cairo stating that his son, Private Horace W. Fordham, of A Company, 10th Battalion, Australian Expeditionary Forces, died on Thursday night. Private Fordham was 24 years of age on Sunday last. He was educated at the Norwood Public School and the School of Mines. He was an electrician and was making rapid progress in his profession when he volunteered to fight the battles of the Empire. He was an enthusiastic sportsman, being a fine cricketer, and was much liked. His younger brother, Roy, is in the same company, and was with him when he died. Deep sympathy will be felt with Mr. and Mrs. Fordham in their sad loss.
